5 Bedroom Detached New House
Demolition of a 1930’s bungalow and construction of a new house with 5 bedrooms for a private customer.
The original bungalow was relatively modest in size but in poor condition due to neglect, so it was in need of extensive work if we were to transform it into a modern-day large family home, as per our client’s brief.
It was quickly established that the existing bungalow footprint and its layout didn’t lend itself to a refurbishment, nor was it of sufficient size for the accommodation and open plan spaces required.
Modern Large Family Home
The decision was made to demolish the bungalow to make way for a more modern larger family house, and furthermore, to enable the new design to introduce extensive glazing to make the most of the south-facing garden and views over the golf course.
The property designed is 5 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms together with extensive open plan living on the ground and first floors, together with a generously sized balcony, and the added bonus of a basement Spiral Stairs wine cellar!
